ASA 105, Coastal Navigation.
Navigation Course is a self-study course. We will assist at two separate consultation sessions over two weeks. The first week we will meet on Saturday, 4 PM-6 PM. The second week we will meet two weeks later, Sunday, 12 PM-2 PM, or other mutual arrangements. After the second session, students will take a written test that lasts about 2 - 4 hours. Upon examination completion, the instructor will certify the student’s credentials and sign the ASA Logbook. Proper documentation will be sent to ASA for final approval.

ASA 105, Coastal Navigation
Able to apply the navigational theory and practices for safe navigation of a sailing vessel in coastal and inland waters. On-water coastal navigation skills elements are contained in the ASA103, Basic Coastal Cruising, ASA 104, Bareboat Cruising, and ASA 106, Advanced Coastal Cruising, in progressively increasing levels of detail.
