ASA 105, Coastal Navigation.
Navigation Course is a self-study course. We will assist at two separate consultation sessions over two weeks. We will meet on Saturday, from 4 PM to 6 PM, in the first week. We will meet two weeks later in the second week, Sunday, 12 PM-2 PM, or other mutual arrangements. After the second session, students will take a written test that lasts about 2 - 4 hours. Upon examination completion, the instructor will certify the student’s credentials and sign the ASA Logbook. Proper documentation will be sent to ASA for final approval. The $15.00 Test Fee and one-time $ 39.00 ASA Registration Fee - for non-ASA members only (to be paid at the end of the course) include complimentary 3-month ASA Membership.

ASA 105, Coastal Navigation
Able to apply the navigational theory and practices for safe navigation of a sailing vessel in coastal and inland waters. On-water coastal navigation skills elements are contained in the ASA103, Basic Coastal Cruising, ASA 104, Bareboat Cruising, and ASA 106, Advanced Coastal Cruising, in progressively increasing levels of detail.
